How the app applies, enforces, and cleans up fees.

Checkout

How checkout enforces fees and handles express buttons.

Prevents checkout if required fees aren't applied. Disable only if you're experiencing issues.
This feature removes accelerated checkout buttons in the Express section of checkout. You should disable express checkout buttons if you notice fees not being applied to orders using accelerated payment methods such as PayPal or Google Pay. The storefront's product and cart express buttons are a separate setting — Hide dynamic checkout buttons when fees apply — managed from Sales channels.

Draft Orders

How fees attach to draft orders.

When enabled, fees will be automatically applied to all new and updated draft orders. This allows fees to be applied to draft orders created through the admin, POS, and other apps. Fees will not appear immediately on the draft order. When editing a draft order in the admin be sure to refresh the page to see the fees.

Beta Feature: Support for automatically applying fees to draft orders is currently in beta. This functionality may change as we continue development.

Orders

How fee line items are cleaned up and fulfilled.

This feature automatically removes Magical Fees details from the additional details section of your orders, providing a visual improvement without affecting functionality. Disable this feature to avoid conflicts with other apps or workflows that use additional details on orders.
seconds
Number of seconds to wait before removing additional details (0-120 seconds). This allows other apps time to process order attributes before they are removed. Set to 0 for immediate removal (default).
This feature automatically marks fee line items as fulfilled when orders are created, reducing manual work by preventing you from having to manually fulfill fee line items on every order.

Payment methods

Detect and label the additional payment methods your checkout offers so they can be used in fee rules. Some payment providers restrict extra fees in their terms of service.

App data

Remove fee data structures from this store.

Removes all fee data structures from your store. Irreversible — active fees stop working. Only use if you're fully uninstalling the app.
